Government Aizawl College, one of the oldest and most reputed colleges in Mizoram, was established in 1975 and is affiliated with Mizoram University. Originally known as Aizawl College, it later became a government institution in 1989. The college offers undergraduate programs mainly in Arts and Commerce streams and is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) with NAAC accreditation.
